About the Job
Title: Parent Experience & Retention Intern - Skyhawks Sports (Treasure Valley)
When a family finishes a Skyhawks program, one of two things happens. Either they feel seen, cared for, and eager to sign up for the next season, or they quietly drift off. The difference is not the sport. It is the experience around the sport. We are hiring an intern to make sure every Skyhawks family feels genuinely cared for from the first email to the last drop-off.

Skyhawks Sports serves thousands of families across the Treasure Valley every year. This internship is for a student who understands that hospitality is a form of leadership. The families you serve will remember how they were treated long after they forget the score.

THE ROLE:
You will own the parent experience across every touchpoint outside the field itself. Welcome sequences, mid-camp check-ins, thank-you notes, testimonial collection, re-enrollment nudges, and warm responses to the small questions parents ask. This is care work with real business impact, because retention is the cheapest and most powerful growth we have.

  • Coordinate thank-you notes and post-camp follow-ups.
  • Collect testimonials, reviews, and stories (handing raw content to our videographer and Google interns).

  • Build and run re-enrollment nudge sequences before each season.

  • You are patient, kind, and calm under pressure.
  • You believe how a family is treated matters, and you can back that belief with action.
  • You care about kids and the parents who love them.

WHAT YOU'LL GAIN:
  • College credit for an accredited internship experience.
  • Portfolio work in customer experience, retention marketing, and community management.
  • Real reps in written communication, hospitality, and light conflict resolution.
  • Mentorship from leadership on how retention actually drives small business growth.
  • Flexible hours around your class schedule.
  • A letter of recommendation for standout contributors.
  • The satisfaction of knowing families feel loved because of how you showed up for them.

DETAILS:

  • A time you turned an unhappy customer, teammate, or friend into a loyal one.
  • A short sample of a warm, professional message you might send to a parent after their child's first day of camp.
  • Why this role interests you specifically.
  • How long are you interested in the internship for.
  • What is the most important thing in your life.

Fast forward to now, Skyhawks has consistent year-round classes and camps throughout various parts of the Treasure Valley, with an increasing need for family programs.
