You make a room better just by showing up.
Maybe that is a field full of toddlers who need someone patient, playful, and fully present. Maybe it is a group of 10-year-olds who need a coach who actually believes in them. Maybe it is a program that needs someone who can lead it, not just show up for it.
We have a spot for all three.
Skyhawks Sports | Treasure Valley has been serving kids ages 2 to 13 across the Boise metro for nearly five years. We run year-round classes, after-school programs, and camps across 10+ sports and various formats. We are growing, and we are building a team of coaches and directors who are in it for the right reasons.
Our coaches are the face of this organization. We believe in pouring into them the same way we expect them to pour into the kids and community around them. When you grow here, everyone around you benefits.
Two Tracks. One Team.
We are hiring across two coaching tracks. Pick the one that fits you, or let us help you figure out where you belong.
Tots Coach | Ages 2 to 5:
  • $17–$19/hr | Evenings and Saturday mornings
  • SoccerTots, HoopsterTots, BaseballTots, 1stDownTots, Multi-SportTots, and more
You are naturally incredible with little ones. You get on their level, you speak toddler, and a room full of 2-year-olds does not intimidate you. It energizes you. Our Tots programs are not about making athletes. They are about helping small children feel capable, joyful, and brave.
You do not need a sports resume. You need a heart for little ones and the patience to match. Experience in parenting, childcare, early childhood education, or preschool counts fully here. You will represent Skyhawks with a genuine love for kids, coaches, and community, and that will show in everything you do.
General Coach | Ages 6 to 13:
  • $17–$19/hr | Weekday afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays
  • Soccer, Basketball, Flag Football, Tennis, Pickleball, Flag Rugby, Field Hockey, Cheer, Multi-Sport, and more
You have a sport background, or two. You know how to run a drill, keep a group focused, and still make it genuinely fun. You are comfortable leading kids who are old enough to have opinions and young enough to still need a whole lot of encouragement.
You want work that is active, meaningful, and fits around your real life. And you understand that the way you show up on the field says something to every kid and every parent watching. You will represent Skyhawks with love for kids, coaches, and community, and that is something we take seriously.
The Director Track | For Those Who Want to Lead More
Some coaches come in and just want to coach. That is great. Others show up and it is obvious almost immediately: this person could run something.
If you have the organizational instincts, communication skills, and drive to take real ownership of a program or location, there is a clear path forward here. Our strongest coaches earn the opportunity to step into Director-level roles with expanded responsibility and recognition that reflects it.
We are growing across the Treasure Valley and we need leaders, not just hires. If you see yourself building something rather than just filling a shift, tell us that in your application. We will notice.
What You Will Do:
  • Lead small groups of children through age-appropriate, skill-based sessions using Skyhawks' proven curriculum.
  • Build genuine relationships with the kids in your program and the parents who trust you with them.
  • Create a culture in every session where each child, regardless of skill level, feels like they belong.
  • Show up prepared, communicate clearly, and represent Skyhawks with love for kids, coaches, and community.
  • Help set up and manage equipment in a safe, organized environment.

Who We Are Looking For:
  • Someone who is genuinely good with kids and shows it without being told to.
  • Reliability matters more than a resume. Show up, follow through, and grow.
  • A sport background is valued, but a coaching heart is required.
  • Availability for at least one consistent day per week, with flexibility to grow into more as you settle in.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation across the Treasure Valley.

This is not a one-size-fits-all team. Some coaches start with one Saturday morning a week. Others build a meaningful part-time schedule around us. As you show us who you are, the opportunity tends to grow.

What You Will Receive:
  • $17–$19/hr with raises tied to reliability and growth.
  • Paid training and free First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
  • Flexible scheduling built around your real life.
  • A team that genuinely invests in you and pours into you.
  • A clear pathway into Director-level roles as we expand.
  • Work you will actually tell people about, because it mattered.

Application Questions: email boise@skyhawks.com
  • Do you have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation?
  • Which cities are you available to travel to? (Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Star, Avimor, Nampa, Caldwell, Emmett)
  • What is your sport background or area of strength? (Soccer, Basketball, Flag Football, Tennis, Pickleball, Flag Rugby, Field Hockey, Cheer, Multi-Sport, Tots, or other)
  • What days and times are you typically available?
  • Tell us about your background working with kids, whether that is coaching, teaching, childcare, parenting, or something else entirely.
  • Are you most interested in the Tots track, the General Coaching track, or both?
  • What is the single most important thing to you?
  • If the Director track interests you, tell us what makes you someone who builds, not just someone who shows up.
  • This application is for Fall coaching beginning mid-August through September. We may have opportunities available sooner and continuing into the Spring season as well. If you are interested in coaching right away or committing to the full year, please note that here.
